Online professional development for early career teachers

Beginning_teacher_in_class_web_qual.pngOur union is supporting beginning educators members (teachers in their first five years in the profession) to achieve their professional goals.

Our comprehensive professional development (PD) program of online and scheduled workshops suports members to navigate their early years in the classroom.

TLN - upcoming online PD

Through the Teacher Learning Network (TLN), early career teacher members can access more than 100 online workshops, covering a broad range of topics.

2019 course lists:

Term 1
Term 2
Term 3
Term 4

TLN workshops cover topics like classroom management, utilising technology, supporting students with disability and lesson planning strategies, which are designed to build your professional skills and empower your teaching practise.

How does it work?

The workshops are a mix of live workshops that allow you to interact with presenters and participants as well as recorded workshops that you can complete at any time. All workshops are accessed through the TLN website and associated software.

Is there a cost?

TLN workshops will be FREE of charge for IEU members who are part of BEnet (teachers in the first five years).

Our union is proud to enhance PD opportunities for our early career teacher members. We know it is critical in your early years in the profession – particularly for those in regional and remote areas.

Click here to logon to or activate your TLN account.

(Note: you must logon with the email addressed associated with your union membership.)

If you need assistance with your TLN account, get in touch.
