Help shape Queensland's syllabus

1097236_99318987.jpgAs the State Government continues with its plan for changes to Senior Assessment, QCAA is convening nine Learning Area Reference Groups that will provide advice relating to internal and external assessment and draft syllabuses in nine subject areas: Arts, Business and Economics, English, HPE, Technologies, Humanities and Social Sciences, Languages, Mathematics and Sciences.

Our union has been asked to nominate a representative with discipline expertise to each of the nine Reference Groups. This process requires nominees to submit an application form to QCAA by Monday 1 February 2015. Applications will then be reviewed by QCAA to generate a shortlist. Final appointments will be confirmed from March 2016.

We encourage all interested members to complete the nomination form and submit to QCAA by  Monday 1 February 2015.

If you require assistance in completing and lodging the form, or if you would like to discuss any aspect of the nomination and representation processes, please contact our Research Officer, Adele Schmidt on 3839 7020 or by e-mail at aschmidt@qieu.asn.au
