School Officer Day

Mark your calendar! School Officer Day will be held on Wednesday, 13 June 2018.

We celebrate School Officer Day as as part of an international day of recognition – International Education Support Staff Day

This international celebration is the result of the endorsement of a resolution at the 2015 Education International (EI) World Congress to create a worldwide day recognising the significant contribution School Officers make to quality education in our schools. The day is also a time to acknowledge the important role of Services Staff in our school communities.

This year we will again celebrate alongside our colleague IEUA branches across the country as well as the New Zealand Educational Institute (NZEI) TE RIU ROA.

On the day, Chapters will share their appreciation and recognition of school support staff with morning tea celebrations and messages sharing the theme, “CAREERS THAT MATTER”.

Join us in recognising #CareersThatMatter and celebrating our dedicated school officer and services staff members this School Officer Day!

Authorised by Terry Burke, Independent Education Union of Australia – Queensland & Northern Territory Branch, Brisbane.
