International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

The International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women is held on 25 November. This year’s theme is ‘Hear me too’.

From 25 November through to 10 December people all around the world will be taking part in 16 days of activism and will be wearing orange and using the hashtag #orangetheworld to raise awareness of this important cause.

If you would like to learn more about the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, please click here to be directed to the UN Women website.

Chapters are encouraged to hold an #orangetheworld day in support of the elimination of violence against women and to send through photos of the day to communications@qieu.asn.au to be featured on our social media page.

Only through raising awareness and taking a stand can we truly change these troubling statistics.
