Unions dig deep for Vinnie's this Christmas

The donations of IEUA-QNT staff, family and friends will make the festive season that bit more special for families in need this year, with Christmas goodies, children's toys and food set to head their way.

IEUA-QNT Assistant Secretary Ros McLennan said the annual collective effort was a joint venture with the Electrical Trades Union (ETU) and other Queensland unions for St Vincent de Paul.

"The goods donated are put into Christmas hampers and delivered to families in need over the Christmas season," Ms McLennan said.

"The donations this year have been amazing and we are happy to say we have been able to purchase a huge range of kids' toys including bikes and helmets, scooters, footballs, board games, sporting equipment, dolls, art ad craft materials and baby toys.

"With cash donations we were also able to buy over a thousand dollars of grocery gift cards,"

IEUA-QNT staff members alone donated over $1000 worth of cash, food and toys to the appeal.
